EDL Spy
Have you ever needed a simple tool that finds and copies only the video files which were actually used in a movie, skipping the terabytes of unused takes? I certainly did countless times, when conforming my color grading projects!
So I developed EDL Spy.
The software reads clip names from an EDL or Final Cut Pro XML, searches for them on your hard drives and creates a flexible script to copy the data to another location.
EDL Spy is a small Java application which runs on Mac OS X and Windows. It can even be launched from a thumb drive and doesn’t require any other video editing or finishing applications to be installed.
